Jaqueline “Jaqui” Florez Ruiz is known as the “creole influencer.” She never thought she’d be an influencer just that she genuinely likes to share her experiences with others, especially about places she visits.
The 31-year-old moved from Nicaragua to Costa Rica, in 2008, and loves traveling around both countries and sharing, on YouTube and TikTok, videos of scenery, activities, and people she meets.
She’s got 59,000 YouTube subscribers and 500,000 followers on TikTok. In total, she has over four million “likes” on her publications.
Her channels offer diverse content. She’s shared about how she started with about $15 to buy accessories to make jewelry and turned that into a business that allowed her to make enough to buy a car. She also bought a house which she plans to pay off as soon as possible.
Her entrepreneurial spirit started in a very humble way. She grew up without TV, washing clothes in the river by hand, ironing with an iron you put charcoal into, carrying water from a well, in other words, in a rural area. Her followers like learning about this too.
She makes videos about agriculture, planting, harvesting, cooking, and more. She shares stories of people she meets, and beautiful scenes she enjoys as she travels aound Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
