The Best Western Jaco Beach, owned by Grupo Marta, operate under the concept of “all inclusive” starting the 1st of September. Agustin Monge, Group President, said the decision reflects the growing demand for more domestic supply under this criterion, and to improve the operation of the building of 130 rooms, which he is investing more than $ 1 million to make sure that this happens.
Among the most notable adjustments include the change in food and beverage menu, the construction of a new lobby bar, an entertainment area for children as well as improvements in the rooms, in the electrical equipment and air conditioners.
The company also carried out improvements to the Irazu, where the group built 30 new rooms. Designs are also in the remodeling of the bar and hotel rooms as well as building a new restaurant, Monge explained.
These changes transcend time when the company negotiated a lease agreement with the Colombian chain Decameron that operates the hotels at Jaco Beach and Irazu.
Both companies have had more than eight months in negotiations, confirmed Monge. It is the second time that the companies are seeking an agreement, after a first unsuccessful negotiations that occurred in 1986.
