Costa Rica Travel – Like many of you, I have to renew my visa every few months. Now that we have the added option of the Las Tablillas border, many of us want to know what hotel options are available in the area. I recently stayed at Jabiru Villas. The border is much nicer and faster than other borders so it’s great to know that there is also a nice place to stay very nearby. To get between the hotel and border is just $1 by bus or $6 by taxi.
This hotel is just two blocks from the area’s main terminal, Los Chiles. Buses arrive from many parts of the country. It’s a very convenient location for the night before or after your visa run. Who wants to do all that traveling in one day? Why not break it up with a stay at Jabiru and a dip in their pool surrounded by tropical flowers? Free private, secure parking is available for those who need it.
Jabiru features free WiFi and air conditioning as well as cable on flatscreen TVs. Each unit has its own comfortable patio. The units feature a kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. Towels and soap are also included. The rooms sleep four people in two sleeping areas. There is also a table with two stools and a living area with two comfortable chairs.
For your convenience, Jabiru Villas has an excellent on-site sports bar and restaurant with the option of a VIP card. You can also make use of the barbeque, grocery delivery service, or take out delivery from nearby places. Other details of interest include that the place is pet friendly, it is just 12.8 miles from the nearest airport, and there is a 24 hour reception, with very knowledgable staff, and daily housekeeping. Childcare is available with reliable staff like Vanessa, who my son really enjoyed playing with.
You can make your reservation at booking.com or by calling 2471-1496. Prices are $25-$30 per night.
