Costa Rica Arts & Theater – The Festival Internacional de las Artes is going on right now, which means free admission for you at 12 exhibitions, at 9 FIA headquarters. The festival started on March 26th, and many have already enjoyed the wonderful, complimentary tour.
There are two musical instrument collections, photographs depicting migration through the Americas, geometric figures, abstract paintings, pieces that pop, creative art that depicts the human body, and many works that touch on themes of intimacy, gender, and time.
One can also pass the Mint House, home to 54 designers showing fashion, graphics, and furniture from 45 brands. FIA also offers walks through gorgeous gardens. Special events for children include face painting and puppetry.
Some of the places on the tour include the National Gallery, Calderon Guardia Museum, Central Bank, National Warehouse, Centre for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritage, National Theater, Costa Rican Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, and the Jade Museum.
