Many of the people who have made the community of San Carlos, Costa Rica what it is today are now living in a home for the elderly known as Hogar de Ancianos San Vicente de Paúl.
This home makes a difference in so many lives. Those without families to care for them can live there. Those with families as well. Sometimes the client’s medical needs are more than the family can handle and they move to this home to have 24/7 medical care.
The residents receive services like laundry and meals. They also have plenty of socialization. The staff is caring and tries to make each resident feel as loved as possible.
The home is in need of donations. This can be financial or donations of items. Some much needed things are clothes and shoes and personal care products like shampoo, lotion, toothbrushes, etc. The home is very careful with donations. If they have something they don’t need they will pass it on to the community. They offer to lend wheelchairs to the public when they have extras, for example.
