When I investigated the Porter Building in Woodland, CA, little did I know that it was so haunted. I first learned about it, because a musical band posted that they would practice their music at this building back in 1997 through 1999. They said that every night around 2am, they would hear knocks on the 2nd floor. They would open the door and no one was there. They also heard little children giggling, laughing and running down the hall. The band members say that the paranormal activity was witnessed at times by 20 people.
When Deanna Jaxine Stinson and I, investigated this building, Deanna witnessed ghostly children coming out of the walls of the building. I took my digital recorder and captured a Class A EVP of a little girl’s voice, saying “you are pretty lady”. The ghostly girl was most likely saying that to Deanna. As we walked around this building, I felt a presence behind me and as I turned the corner, I felt a jab to my waist. It felt like an index finger jabbing my rib cage.
If you are ever in Woodland, CA, stop by the Porter Building, located at 501-511 Main Street. The Porter Building is a historic building listed on the National Register of Historic Places located in the Downtown Historic District of Woodland, California. The building was designed in 1913 by architect W.H. Weeks, architect of many other landmarks in Woodland such as the Woodland Opera House and the Yolo County Courthouse. Note: The Woodland Opera House is very haunted and I investigated the Opera House with my team and captured a lot of evidence. I also investigated the Yolo County Courthouse and one of my psychics was touched by a ghostly cowboy. One of my investigators captured a man’s disembodied voice saying…”love Missy”. This could have possibly been the cowboy that touched my psychic. Today the building is a part of the Downtown Woodland Historic District.
I received a phone call today (11/25/2020) in which the caller claims he explored the building during the time it was abandoned. He says that he was tripped by an unseen force and fell to the floor. As he was trying to get his composure to get back up, he felt a strong hand grab his hand, as to lift him up. After this experience, he said he would never go back again, it frightened him to no end. As he ran out of the building, there were knocks on the wall that followed him all the way to the door. The caller says this is the most scariest thing that ever happened to him.
I plan to go back to the Porter Building, sometime in the near future with Deanna, to see what other kind of evidence that I might get, it’s definitely an interesting place to investigate.
