Costa Rica Entertainment News – In Costa Rica, Halloween is celebrated as the Day of the Costa Rican Traditional Masquerade. The day holds more than the intricate parades with giant mud masks. There are concerts with DJs and live performances as well.
The party lasts all weekend, starting on Friday October 31. There are family events during the day in most towns. There will be folk dancing, mask making demonstrations and artistic gifts for sale. Santa Cruz and Escazu do this holiday best.
Adult fun starts at night, with many bars, hotels and clubs hosting the greatest parties to celebrate both Halloween and the Day of the Dead. Keep an eye out for costume contests and maybe you’ll go home with some extra cash.
There is sure to be a lot of fun all weekend, day and night, in every part of Costa Rica. If you happen to be in the Central Valley or near Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, you will have even more luck finding fun. Head to Barrio Amon or San Pedro for the best bar parties.
