Grupo Lala has completed its $20 million investment in Costa Rica. The Mexican company in the dairy sector invested $14 million in expanding its plan in San Ramon and also installed a distribution center in Coyol, with an investment price tag of $6 million.
The expanded plant was opened yesterday, January 16th. The distribution center will likely also see an expansion in the coming months. The company uses the highest technology available for the plant.
Initially, the company will offer the market liquid milk in six presentations: whole, semi-skimmed, skimmed, lactose free, semi lactose free, and lactose free with 0% fat. Later on they will add dairy products like butter.
The company has reached a process capacity of 150,000 liters a day. It has associates in the western zone for raw materials. It also has a strong alliance with Florida Bebidas, through the dairy brand Mu! We will see the Lala brand first in Walmart stores.
