Costa Rica News & Events – Thursday night was full of excitement, at the Global Miss Costa Rica pageant. The current Miss Costa Rica developed and organized the festivities, in which 15 qualified candidates competed to win an invitation to the International Queen of Peace pageant, which will be in Guatemala, next year.
These girls went through five months of preparation, including details like the catwalk, photography and answering interview questions. They also passed a preliminary round, which added to their experience and overall score.
The night consisted of a choreographed group dance followed by the competition, which judged their figure, confidence and answers to questions. All of the winners and runners up are now well prepared for other competitions in the future.
There were various categories including miss, teen, and petite. The winners were Karen Marin, Maria Paula Marin and Maria Jose Torres.

The three winners each won a scholarship to the Imagination Academy as well as the invite to the pageant in Guatemala.
