Costa Rica News – The MOPT promises that the ferry service between Puntarenas and Naranjo Beach will be rehabilitated before Holy Week begins.
Easter is a time when many people travel, so this is great news.
Since Monday, they’ve been building a provisional dock that is expected to be completely ready in just two weeks, in time for the week with such high demand, according to director Luis Fernando Coronado.
This temporary structure will support the boarding ramp and allow disembarking from boats.
This provision is costing ¢67 million. For now, there is a bus available between Puntarenas and Jicaral where you can transfer to Naranjo.
This week they are also starting the parallel structure that will be permanent.
This one will take 2.5 months and ¢300 million to finish. Once the permanent solution is ready the temporary one will be retired.
