San Jose (Editor). To show how much corruption runs deep through out the entire governmental structure from the Presidents’ cabinet to the police officers who are supposed to serve and protect, please delve into the following story.
The Trial Court today convicted of eight Puntarenas police officers that were cooperating with a drug trafficking organization.
In its judgment delivered today at 2 pm, three Colombians and a farmer were also sentenced, according to a special report released by DNA Radio 90.7 FM.
The penalties imposed on those involved are 20 to 22 years in prison.
This case was discovered on 18 September 2009, when police officers Drug Control (PCD) dismantled the organization.
The officers involved were working in positions Tárcoles in Herradura Puntarenas.
According to the indictment of the Special Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics agents helped unload cargoes, transported them when they came ashore and even guarded them.
This is humorous to me considering they are trying to extradite Sea Shepherd and yet they cannot control their own government and policing bodies.
