Entertainment News – This is a concert that I want to attend….. think we can get them to come to Costa Rica?
You can’t always get what you want — unless it’s rockin’ at the concert of the century.
A mega-lineup announced Tuesday will feature a slate of living legends taking the stage over three nights in October, and it’s an impressive crew: Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters and The Who.
The rock gods will gather at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, where the music festival Coachella is held. The concert has been dubbed DesertTrip.
Organizers said The Rolling Stones and Dylan will play Oct. 7; McCartney and Young will play Oct. 8; and Waters and The Who will play Oct. 9.
Tickets will go on sale Monday at 1 p.m. ET, and range from $199 plus fees for a single-day general admission to more than $1,599 plus fees for a three-day VIP experience.
There have been rumors of such a stratospheric showcase, which will be the first time the acts — with more than 35 Grammy Awards and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards between them — will be part of the same concert.
Daltrey told Canada’s Postmedia Network that it’s a “fantastic idea for a festival. It’s the greatest remains of our era. I’m glad we made it!”
