The room I stayed in was a premium suite. It had a gorgeous 180 degree view! It also had a spacious layout including 2 seating areas, a large desk, elegant lighting, hot water, a huge TV screen, clean sheets, relaxing colors of tan and lime against dark wood, and artwork that showcases local culture. It also had many personal care items like a robe and slippers and even earplugs along with a vanity kit. They went above and beyond soap and shampoo! I found the maid and front desk staff to be very helpful and friendly. They spoke English really well, too! The staff at breakfast were exceptional; they seemed to anticipate in advance everything that the guests would need. I was also impressed at the 
attention to safety. Emergency exits and earthquake safety spots were clearly marked.
There are many fine choices to host an event in San Jose. One to consider is the third floor of Tryp hotel which is decorated with wood and marble features and has 5 different meeting rooms in addition to an executive room. The rooms come with all of the audio visual equipment you will need and tons of natural light. Afternoon tea and late night drinks are offered as well. In fact, they are open 24 hours per day.
