Costa Rica News – The Government on Tuesday presented a strategy to boost the country’s digital transformation. This occurred at an event held at the Hotel Real Intercontinental. It explained how public institutions will be digitally transformed.
The roadmap presented is based on six axes meant to enhance the national economic development and improve the quality of life of the people. It’s objective is “to accelerate the productivity, competitiveness and socioeconomic development of Costa Rica.”
The plan is based on advantages from “the fourth industrial revolution and knowledge societies, to ensure the welfare of all its inhabitants, in an inclusive manner, and to promote the sustainable development of the country.”
The event had a special guest, the former president of Estonia, who spoke about his country’s experience in ensuring that 99% of public services can be completed by electronic means.
