Costa Rica News – The Judicial Police raided 11 Pequeño Mundo stores on Wednesday for alleged trademark infringement.
The police deployments to the buildings began in the morning and were still in process at 5 p.m.

It is believed that the store is storing, selling and distributing fraudulent products. In their stores and warehouses there are allegedly products of trademarks protected by intellectual property rights.
Article 44 of the Law on Procedures for Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights states that those who falsify a trademark are punishable by economic fines and imprisonment.
The fines range from five to 500 base salaries depending on the worth of the products.
