Costa Rica News – The Moin megaport is having delays again, this time up to 3 months off par.
Damage to breakwaters, irregular foundations and problems on the surface compaction of the terminal will prevent the work from being completed by January 18, 2018, as was planned.
The concession agreement implies a fine of $2,000 per day of the delay in the commissioning of the work.
The date established was between the State and the Dutch firm to put into operation this $1 billion investment.
The exact magnitude of the postponement will not be known until May 15th, the day on which the company will finalize the evaluation of the gap in the work schedule, according to the company.
It also states that the most important thing is the commitment to deliver a quality project.
Problems must be fixed now so that they don’t create larger problems in the future.
