Costa Rica News – INS plans to hire 300 workers on only wages, with less vacation and severance than the 2,100 employees already covered by the collective agreement.
The new jobs are to start in September.
This will cause an annual payroll increase of ¢3,260 million to be covered by a high increase in sales.
Workers will enter under a single wage system contract rather than a base plus bonuses one.
New workers will have legal benefits capped at 15 years instead of 20 as received by current employees, reducing the operating costs of the company.
Among positions to be filled are customer service staff, engineers and financial analysts. There will also be 280 substitute positions to be filled.
The insurance company has been operating since 2009.
It sells medical insurance as well as car insurance and roadside assistance that is good 24 hours a day everyday of the whole year.
