The Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) is selling 188 vehicles and spare parts that it’s no longer using. The sale will take place via an abbreviated tender, from now until January 7, on the platform of the Integrated Public Procurement System.
This is a way for the institution to benefit from both income and a reduction of operation costs. ICE has already collected ₡26.2 million, this year, by selling automobiles.
The vehicles available will be on display until December 18, at the Rincón Grande de Pavas Campus, 700 meters west of the Liceo de Pavas. You must make an appointment and follow strict hygiene measures. For example, only two people can examine a vehicle at a time.
Vehicles can be examined but no components can be removed from them. It won’t be possible to start them or test drive them.
There are pick-ups, minibuses, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, and more. You can see photos of them and review the specifications at www.sicop.go.cr by entering file number 2 020LA-000043-0000400001. You may also call 800-00SICOP for information about how to use the platform.
