Costa Rica News – Almost all Costa Rican cell phones have WhatsApp and YouTube. They are the favorite applications in the country.
People often use WhatsApp as the primary way to communicate with family and friends. YouTube is used for entertainment, specifically watching videos. These results are according to a study Red 506 by El Financiero. The complete results will be presented on Tuesday, August 8, at the Wyndham Hotel.
The questionnaire it’s based on was given online to about 600 people (51% male and 49% female). 97% of the respondents use WhatsApp. It’s used for communicating with coworkers, parent teacher associations, sports teams, friends and family. It is also used to share videos and audios by 38% of respondents.
Another study, by the Information and Knowledge Society Program, revealed that 98% have WhatsApp and on a scale of 1 to 10, the average rating was 9.18.
YouTube comes in second, with 74% using it to listen to music and 70% for watching videos. 68% use it to watch tutorials.
