Costa Rica News – Unions tend to come up with a lot of money somehow. The Solidarity Association of Employees of the Costa Rican Social Security is no exception, as they are investing over $20 million into building a new Wyndham hotel in the Gulf of Papagayo.
The new Wyndham Papagayo Yu Resort will be just 150 meters from Playa Panama. Of its seven acre lot, one acre will be dedicated to wildlife conservation. The other land will be converted into rooms, villas, restaurants, a childrens’ area, mini golf, sports courts, gyms and pools.
The Wyndham name is known for prestige and their profile of success over the years. It’s no wonder why the Caja chose to go with this well known brand. The doctors, medical staff and office employees who work for the Caja will have access to the best of the best.
Those who are part of this group already receive 5-25% off in select hotels.
The specific financial agreement with Wyndham has yet to be released.
On the 25th of this month, the project managers will lay the first stone of the Wyndham Papagayo Yu and by November 2015, the first phase will be done.
The final hotel will have four or five stars and be family friendly as well as open to both domestic and foreign groups.
