Costa Rica News & Events – Costa Rica’s Envision Festival has been referred to as “a funky electric earth fairy rainbow wonderland.” Now, doesn’t that sound interesting? It’s an art and music gathering that will be held for the fourth time in the southern Pacific Coast.
This week, the organizers announced the dates and started selling early bird tickets. They also put up applications for volunteers, street team members, artists, performers, practitioners, facilitators, and instructors. It takes a whole village to pull off this multi-day activity.
The major change this year is that it will move to a more shaded area, in a rainforest enclave. It’s five minutes closer to the beach and campsite than it was last year. This is great news for those who suffered through the heat at the 2013 festival. Another change is that car camping is allowed, due to the impact rain had on the campground last year.
The 2013 festival welcomed guests from around the world. Countless musicians, artists, and healers participated. The most famous of them were Alex and Allyson Grey. Yoga, movement workshops, a kids’ zone, and a healing sanctuary were highlights of the event.
Envision 2014 will take place from February 20-23, in Uvita. Super Early Bird Passes are $195. If they don’t sell out, you can get a pass the day of the first show for $295. There is a VIP Paradise Package valued at $599. Discounts are available for Central American residents.
