Costa Rica News – A Puriscaleña is just 19 seconds behind the mark for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic event.
She, Noelia Vargas, competed the 20 km for the first time and won the USATF event in New York.
The 18-year-old Costa Rica was timed at 1 hour 36 minutes and 19 seconds. Even though it was a very cold climate, she dominated the event from the beginning with little true competition.
