Costa Rica News – Costa Rican fashion designer Daniel Moreira, age 28, has died of unknown causes. This exceptional tico was loved around the world. He was a painter, fashion designer and entrepreneur.
He participated in three editions of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Costa Rica. He stood out for ambitious dresses inspired by his paintings. He was featured in Los 40 minors of 40 by El Financiero. Traffic Magazine names him best designer in 2015. He made the gala dress for Karina Ramos, winner of Miss Costa Rica 2015. In 2016 he had his first solo fashion show and then in 2017 he presented his latest collection that featured leather pieces and elegant wedding dresses.
He once said of his work “I sell happiness and confidence to a woman.” His clients agree. Even the most introverted feels great in one of his bright dresses.
Red was his favorite color. His family requests that no one attend the funeral wearing black as he was all about color. The funeral will be at noon today at Jardines del Recuerdo, Alajuela.
