Costa Rica News – No one likes to run to catch a flight, but still it is pretty tiresome to be in an airport waiting for three hours before boarding.
Thankfully airports feature an array of shops and eateries to keep you busy these days.
The commercial areas in both of Costa Rica’s international airports are completely maxed out. There are no “for rent” signs. Future expansion will allow for additional options.
Both airports currently offer restaurants, local jewelry and art, retail stores, duty free shops and currency exchanges.
These provide unique business opportunities and last minute souvenir shopping options.
The travel trend is for airports to look like shopping malls so both the airports in Costa Rica are heading in that direction and planning expansions.
The days of airports with a single coffee shop in the waiting area are gone.
