Costa Rica News – As Thursday night’s publish will be in essence our weekend edition we will give a run down of a few events happening in Costa Rica in different areas that we think our readers might enjoy attending. This is by no means all the weekend events but ones that appeal to our curiosity or excitement bug.
Costa Rica Superbowl – There are many of you out there (including myself) that are ready for net years football season to start already. I need a dose of Texas A&M and Johnny Football going for the National Championship this year, but in the mean time if you are looking for a little taste of American Football in Costa Rica, this weekend is your chance. Perennial powerhouse the Santa Ana Bulldogs look to try to repeat at champions of the Tico Bowl against the up and coming Toros.
It should be an exciting game with the Toros finishing up an undefeated regular season and the Bulldogs looking to try to rekindle some old magic and hoist the championship trophy. It should be a great time for all and only costs $4 to attend.

Damian Marley Concert – From Jamaica, Damian Marley , the successful son of Bob Marley, will be in Costa Rica, on Friday, April 26, at the racetrack in Guácima.
The concert will happen as part of the tour to promote the new collaborative album, Set Up Shop, published in February of 2013. The Costa Rican bands Un Rojo y Ojo de Buey and Rising Sound will also play.
Tickets to the concert are on sale in stores Urban Route (San Pedro, Escazu and Heredia) for ¢ 20,000.
Damian Marley is considered the most important interpreter of reggae in the world today. He has won three Grammys as well as had many radio hits in recent years.
Previously, Marley was in Costa Rica in November 2011 at the Reggae Festival also held in The Guácima.
The Community Action Alliance is a community based, action oriented organization focused on resolving issues and improving the lives of all residents of Costa Rica.
