Technology sales are on the move inside and outside Costa Rica. Companies in the software sector have marketed $1.3 billion during 2018, according to Characterization of the information and communication technologies sector in Costa Rica, prepared by the Foreign Trade Promoter.

This company has over 800 employees. It is a noteworthy example of the international level of expertise had in Costa Rica’s technological sector. Information and communication technologies is the service that exports the most and generates the most income in the country.
This sector generates 42,256 jobs. 58% of these are in free zones. 8 out of 10 of these employees have a certification from international companies, such as Microsoft. Firms in this sector are ever improving with training in international project management and marketing.
