Costa Rica Picture of the Day – Each day the Costa Rican Times will be including a picture from around Costa Rica to see the natural beauty and amazing things that we get to see each day in the land of the Pura Vida.
A few weeks ago a drunk Nicaraguan was eaten by crocodiles near the Tarcoles bridge.
The Tarcoles river that flows below the bridge, on your southbound journey towards Jaco, is full of Crocs varying in sizes of 1-5 meters.
Even though you are relatively safe and out of harms way viewing from the bridge, it’s a chilling scene to stand above and look down on the eyes of death. The crocodiles congregate in the same place every day below the bridge, looking up at us calmly waiting for the next mistake or drunkard to fall.
It has also been rumored that the underworld in Costa Rica use this area as a place to dispose of bodies. The crocs do not leave much for the authorities to find if they were to go searching for bodies.
This is a must hit on your Costa Rican vacation.
