Costa Rica Picture of the Day – Each day the Costa Rican Times will be including a picture from around Costa Rica to see the natural beauty and amazing things that we get to see each day in the land of the Pura Vida.
Costa Rica is not always rainbows and unicorns, there are peaks and valleys of living here.
Through the years I have called Costa Rica home, I have been to hell and back. There are so many days I thought of packing my bags, putting my tail between my legs and heading home.
Adjusting to a different culture and a different way of life can push you to the end of your rope when it comes to patience.
For me what I live is the following credo. It is not how many times you get knocked down it is how many times you pick yourself back up and keep fighting. Life in general does that to us and there are so many that have decided that they do not have the strength to fight anymore.
All I can say is although the waves might pound you again and again while you are paddling out, once you are sitting behind that break and see what you had to overcome to get there, you will then cherish so much more that ride in feeling the power of the ocean under your board pushing you home to shore.
