Costa Rica Picture of the Day – Each day the Costa Rican Times will be including a picture from around Costa Rica to see the natural beauty and amazing things that we get to see each day in the land of the Pura Vida.
What kind of surfboard should I be riding? What is the difference between a long board, short board and fun board?
These are all questions that new surfers will ask when starting to hit the waves in Costa Rica.
In Tamarindo if you head to Witch’s Rock Surf Camp you can meet one of the most legendary surf board shapers of all time, Robert August.
Robert has shaped over 32,000 boards shaped by hand over the past 50 years. He also has one of the longest-running surfboard factories in California.
He now does about 2 boards a week in Tamarindo. So if you want one you might have to wait in line.
