Costa Rica Picture of the Day – Each day the Costa Rican Times will be including a picture from around Costa Rica to see the natural beauty and amazing things that we get to see each day in the land of the Pura Vida.
To say the least I did not get much work done this weekend with the Reef Classic Surf competition in town and with them bringing along the Reef Girls.
This was a great weekend of beautiful women and great surfing in from of the Backyard Bar in Playa Hermosa just south of Jaco.
The competition began with 132 competitors, of whom 80 who were in the open category, 12 women, and 28 Pro Junior (Under 21).
Costa Ricans Carlos Muñoz, Alberto Muñoz, Gilberth Brown, Leonardo Calvo, Maikol Torres, Juan Carlos Naranjo, Diego Orange, Isaac Vega and Federico Pilurzo all made it past the first round.
The winner of the open category was Noe Mar McGonagle who took home the $5000 prize.
It was a great weekend and the beach had over 1000 spectators each day and the party and bikini contests went into the night.
