Costa Rica Picture of the Day – Each day the Costa Rican Times will be including a picture from around Costa Rica to see the natural beauty and amazing things that we get to see each day in the land of the Pura Vida.
“These gorgeous red-eyed tree frogs are pretty much the animal symbol of Costa Rica, and there’s a reason why.
If you know where to look, you’ll definitely be able to spot a few of these on your travels around the country. While the colors aren’t fully visible in this shot, often you’ll see a much brighter orange color on the feet, and a bright blue color to the belly.
These creatures sleep by day, and so cover up the colors of their body, but they’ll show them more if startled by something”.
