So you have come to Costa Rica and your 90 day tourist visa is about to expire but you want to stay and enjoy the country a little longer, what do you do?
There are many expats that came down to Costa Rica and fell in love with the country and decided to stay…..some much longer than others.
A number of expats use a loophole called “perpetual tourism” in order to stay as a legal tourist in Costa Rica. This consists of taking trips to Panama and Nicaragua every 90 days to renew their 90 day tourist visa.
One of the most popular places for people to go is San Juan del Sur located on the south Pacific side of Nicaragua.
