Costa Rica Picture of the Day – Each day the Costa Rican Times will be including a picture from around Costa Rica to see the natural beauty and amazing things that we get to see each day in the land of the Pura Vida.
“Costa Rica’s Manuel Antonio National Park is renowned for the huge numbers of stunning wildlife that can be found there. Whether you take a tour or trek the paths on your own, if you follow the Oohs! and Aahs! and visitors pointing up at the canopies, you’re bound to find more than a couple of monkeys.
I came across this young squirrel monkey playing as it swung through the treetops. They’re pretty fast and unpredictable in their movements; add branches full of leaves getting in between your lens and the subject and you’ve not got an easy job ahead of you!
This little one stayed still for just long enough to get the detail, before springing off again. A tighter crop on the computer gave a better composition than I could get in the field.”
