Costa Rica News – For those who want to possible see if they can get a good deal on vehicle replacement parts in Costa Rica this might be your opportunity. I have never been to one of these so I cannot say that I personally recommend this auction, but you might find something good.
From what I understand this auction is is really for mechanics that are looking to buy scrap to help with replacing parts of vehicles that need some repairs.
A total of 28 cars and 11 motorcycles will be auctioned on Wednesday the 20th February by the National Insurance Institute (INS).
The event will be held in the 11th floor auditorium of the INS Headquarters, starting at 9:00 am.
The top vehicles became the property of the INS, after its owners were paid because the vehicles were stolen or they claimed a total loss due to an accident. Both of these are covered by voluntary insurance Automobile SOA).
As announced by the insurer, the full vehicles will be going to auction and can be registered but the rest, including motorcycles, are for parts.
From Monday the 11th to Friday the 15th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, at the Headquarters of the INS in Curridabat, the potential buyers will have a chance to inspect the vehicles. I would go check this out before you spend time going to the auction.
The poster with the details of the auction is published in the official website of the INS.
The day of the auction applicants must submit their respective identity card or passport and affidavits stating they are current in the payment of all types of national taxes.
Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai cars as well as Suzuki and Freedom motorcycles are some of the brands that can be found in the auction.
