Costa Rica Surfing – Well is was a good first round for the Costa Rican team in the World Surfing Games in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica.
Thomas King, Carlos Munoz and Anthony Fillligan all finished at the top of their heats.
Noe Mar McGonagle is also moving on to the next round with a second place finish in his heat.
Costa Rican surfer Carlos Munoz had the high score of the day in his heat, recording a 16,83 for his two top scored waves.
The Costa Rican team has a ways to go to reclaim the title but they are off to a fantastic start. The World Surfing Games will be going on until the 14th of August.
