In a colorful ceremony, the flag of Costa Rica was raised yesterday afternoon at the 2012 London Olympic Village, a day before they open the Olympic Games.
The activity protocol was performed at 7 pm (noon in Costa Rica), in the presence of the eight athletes Ticos already installed in the Villa, plus coaches, staff and special guests, including the player Bryan Ruiz stressed , who plays for Fulham of England, and the president of the National Bank (sponsor the National Olympic Committee), Fernando Naranjo.
Along with the tricolor flag hoisted were also those of Tanzania, Sweden and Liechtenstein.
A group of actors and acrobats gave a colorful spectacle and dance, with a message that emphasized the multicultural life of the city itself home to the fair.
