Costa Rica Entertainment News – Costa Rica Fashion Week 2014 came to its end this weekend much to the disappointment of many who enjoyed samples of the country’s most up to date fashion. During the show’s 4th and last night in the antique custom’s building in San Jose, two local and five international designers finished with a bang.
Kimberly Yurika, designer and Costa Rican architect displayed two contemporary accessory collections including jewelry she made herself. The first collection called natural showed pieces crafted from cork. The second collection called Countours was inspired in the geography of the human body and the pieces were made of acrylic and black leather.
The Spanish designer Patrizia Rojas also showed off her line of dresses including cocktail dresses, wedding dresses and party dresses. The models wearing her clothes displayed hair products by Schwarzkopf with fashion tendencies in cuts, colors and styles. Bolivian designer Daniel de la Rua displayed a spring-summer collection of couture for men.
Silvia Santacryz, the well-known Costa Rican designer stole the show with her line of bathing suits Ntra (Natura) as well as cocktail and formal dresses for both the beach and weddings. The romantic collection was inspired in the tropical climate with many colors, flowers, movement and accessories.
