Costa Rica News – Estilo Costa Rica is a consortium that supports 50 small and medium sized companies.
The company is led by Vanessa Chacón and was recently featured in a fair held in “la Antigua Aduana.”
The alliance was formed by artists seeking to share Costa Rican works with the world. The group includes people who create swimwear, jewelry, accessories, clothing and footwear. For a year and a half they have been working together to sell products in the competitive international market.
They work together. For example, Luis Chacón, a cart painter of 30 years, allows a graphic designer, Daniel Ramírez, to transport his colorful designs to fabric scarves made by Vanessa Chacón.
Production volumes for individuals are low but exporting as a consortium helps them get their designs out there. They also participate together in industry events such as Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Panama.
