There is a large selection of rivers in Costa Rica where visitors can enjoy rafting. The Savegre River offers class 2-3 rapids. The Naranjo has class 3-4. For class 4-5, you will want to elect the Chorro River. Most rafting tours also include a short hike or drive through the rainforest, a visit to a waterfall, and a meal in a typical village. Some also include kayaking and snorkeling, in combination with rafting.

And not forgetting the Pacuare River on the Caribbean side of the country which is annually rated as one of the five best rafting rivers in the world. A fantastic day trip but check the ferocity of the rapids compared to the ability of your group at the time you visit. This river can be really wild!
