Costa Rica News – Civil Aviation will try to clear up doubts to the neighbors of the new airport in Orotina.
For this purpose, there will be an open meeting on Friday at 5 pm in the fairground. Experts who did the study of the project site will be there.
The General Directorate of Civil Aviation hopes the event will eliminate doubts held by hundreds of Orotina neighbors regarding the construction of the new international airport.
Various community associations have expressed concern over the expropriation process, the appraisals of land required for the site, and technical criteria for the selection of the appropriate site.
Eduardo Montero, vice president of the Technical Council of Civil Aviation, expects 500 people to be at the meeting.
Officials of Mott-Macdonald, the company that did the site study, will be there as will students of two universities supporting the community group.
