Costa Rica Entertainment – All those walking around the lake at the La Sabana metropolitan park now have new artwork to view on their journey.
There are eight wooden sculptures of birds that bring added beauty and color to San Jose’s nicest park.
Over a week’s time, six of the best national sculptors chiseled creatures in full view of visitors to the park who were able to interact with and observe the artists and their craftsmanship.
The works will remain in the park indefinitely as a tribute to the talent found in the country. One of the creators came from Palmar Norte to develop a sculpture of a Lapa, a symbolic bird of Costa Rica.
Guests of the park are glad to see art so present there for all to enjoy.
The sculptures, made in eucalyptus wood, are quite breathtaking at two meters high.
Another change happening in the park is its progressive reforestation.
