Costa Rica News – Ethical companies are launching a tool to reduce poverty among their workers.
The new platform, called the Multidimensional Entrepreneurship Index, is made available to all companies at an affordable price.
The mechanism allows organizations to know the needs of its workers’ homes and help them overcome the obstacles. It allows the business to find the poor households among its staff and help get them out of that situation.
The tool was developed by the Asociacion Positivo Horizonte with the help of the University of Oxford.
It was launched yesterday, Thursday, August 24th. Purdy Motor is one of the first companies to apply the multidimensional business poverty index.
It measures specific indicators of deficiencies of poor households in five areas: education, housing, health, labor and social protection.
This is in addition to simple information on the families financial situation.
