Costa Rica News – A bus with students and teachers turned over in Escazu. It was carrying 47 people.
This accident happened Friday morning in the Corazon de Jesus neighborhood of Escazu, according to the Red Cross.
The accident occurred at 8 am, approximately. The students and teachers were part of the Technical College CEDES Don Bosco. They had been heading for a camp in the area. They were planning to go on a spiritual retreat.
As a result of the accident, 14 people were taken in “green condition” to the Hospital of Trauma in La Uruca.
The rest were evaluated on site and did not require relocation or hospitalization.
They went in reverse after passing the entrance to the camp and they don’t know what happened but moments later they were overturned.
A witness said that the driver tried to stop the bus by driving into a wall but despite the maneuver it overturned.
