Journey Through Britney Spears’ Legacy
35 of Costa Rica’s shining stars are gearing up for ‘Stronger,’ a heartfelt tribute to the Pop Princess, Britney Spears. The performance will be showcased at the esteemed Teatro Eugene O’Neill. The show promises a trip down memory lane, taking us back to the late 90s and early 2000s, a time when tracks like Oops!…I Did It Again, Baby One More Time, Overprotected, and Toxic ruled the airwaves.
Inclusive Showcase of Talent
Featuring renowned artists, Drag Queens, and a diverse array of talents, ‘Stronger’ boasts of inclusivity. “The show’s inclusiveness is a joy to behold. It represents every body type, gender, look, hair type, skin color, interest, attire, personality, identity… in short, it offers something for everyone. The cast is diverse, spanning multiple age groups, from adults to youngsters. Their sheer professionalism and talent have been breathtaking to witness,” expressed Julie B.
Hits that Defined a Generation
Choreographer Julie B reveals that the 90-minute spectacle will see performers dazzling the audience with their routines to hits like Gimme More, Womanizer, and I’m a Slave 4 U. “All of Britney’s hits, from her debut to her most recent, will be featured. They include both textual and choreographic references. Our goal isn’t to mimic but to draw inspiration from Britney’s influence in fashion, music, style, dance, and her overall contributions,” she added.
Return of the Spectacular
This is the second season of this musical tribute. The initial performances in early 2023 were so sought-after that many fans couldn’t secure tickets. Julie B’s aspiration is to ensure that more admirers of the iconic artist can indulge in this experience this time around. “The collaboration with Teatro Eugene O’Neill aims to highlight and elevate Costa Rican talent. It’s always a boon when we can execute projects of this scale,” she shared.
Tickets range from ¢13,000 to ¢17,000 based on seating arrangements and are available at the theater’s box office. The show promises a feast for all ages, although it’s recommended for audiences over 12 years.
