¢12 million and many cell phones were stolen by three armed men at Instacredit in Heredia. They entered while the guard was eating breakfast upstairs and they threatened all those present.
This incident occurred at 9:45 am and at 11 am the authorities were still present where the assault happened. The first report was made by the Judicial Police. It states that the criminals entered with their faces uncovered. They were young boys.
At the time, only employees were present. Each was threatened and the thieves took 12 cell phones and the money from the cash registers. It is believed that the criminals had a vehicle waiting for them as they fled on foot but were not found nearby.
Two people were beaten. They were transferred in stable condition by the Red Cross to the San Vicente de Paul Hospital.
5 of the telephones were found via gps. They were in Santa Lucia and Santiago de San Rafael, Heredia outside a supermarket and on public roads.
