The multinational biopharmaceutical AstraZeneca is going to expand in Costa Rica and hire 60 more people. It’s new headquarters, which carries an $8 million investment, was inaugurated, on December 2, in “Roble Corporate Center,” in Escazú.
The area of the new facilities is 3,615 square meters. The offices have the LEED sustainable building certification system. It’s physically set up in a way that contributes to the wellbeing of employees.
The new headquarters will include the operations for the company’s Financial Services and Purchasing Centers for the American continent.

President Alvarado spoke of the good relationship with this company. It’s been in the country nearly 20 years. Recently a contract was signed for the supply of its potential covid-19 vaccine.
