Costa Rica News – A cycle of recreational walks starts on Sunday, February 11, from 8 am.
This first walk in the cycle is dedicated to seniors, although anyone can participate. There is even a special prize for grandkids who walk with a grandparent.
The 2018 cycle includes walks through the mountains of Aserrí, Acosta, Escazú, Santa Ana and Alajuelita. The first is this weekend to the Cruz de Alajuelita. Jorge Astúa is the organizer of these activities.
The walk this Sunday includes 10 kilometers each way, with an estimated duration of two and a half hours each direction. It will be recreational and family oriented. It celebrates 84 years since the cross was built.
The group will leave at 8am from the Centro Cristiano de Alabanza, which is 150 meters west of the Centro Comercial Acapulco in San Josecito de Alajuelita. There’s free parking.
The price for the walk is ¢3,000 except for seniors and kids under 12, who will not pay.
