Andrey Amador is moving on to cycle with the most powerful team in the whole world. He’ll be leaving team Movistar as of January 1, 2020. He has worn the uniform proud and will surely do so as well with his Team Ineos one.
He will be teamed with Chris Froome, Egan Bernal, Geraint Thomas and Richard Carapaz. The Costa Rican has proven himself in 11 campaigns of professional cycling. He’s shown great ability alongside excellent teamwork.
The change to Team Ineos (formerly Sky) came as a surprise since he had signed a pre-contract with Movistar before deciding to leave home and take the British manager up on his offer.
He will likely earn ten times more with his new team. He’ll also have access to the best equipment including Pinarello bikes, Castelli kits, Kask helmets, Oakley glasses and Sis nutrition.
