There is room for 2,300 people at the shelter in Chirripó and due to low visitation this season, there is a promotion of 15% off per night for reservations booked by October 14 as well as transportation of two kilos in freight to the shelter for free.
The discount applies as long as you book for at least two people for a two to three night stay, according to the Aguas Eternas consortium which manages the services for visitors to the park.
This means a two night stay for a couple would by ¢72,000 instead of the usual ¢85,000. The rate includes food services. The couple would save further because they wouldn’t pay the ¢2,830 per kilo for transported cargo.
Eternal Waters is made up of community organizations. It provides lodging, food, supplies and equipment rentals. It benefits the local community with 82 jobs including carriers, administrators and cooks.
