Costa Rica Travel – Heredia is the place to be if you want to enjoy one of the greatest climates Costa Rica has to offer and be able to easily get to any other part of the country. We recently found a lovely rental home in Heredia that comes ready with all of the furniture and appliances you would need and a sunny backyard to make your stay even more relaxing. You could stay busy in the yard all day, watching the never ending array of birds that come to visit the beautiful flowers.
This perfect vacation home is located just 20 minutes from the international airport. Upon arrival you will find that it’s in a gated community with a security guard. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and safe. It includes two playgrounds for children. It’s just two blocks away from banks, restaurants and supermarkets and not far from the downtown area of Heredia. Buses are available to the capital, volcanoes and beaches. There is fun found in every direction, including horseback riding, swimming pools, canopy tours and museums. The bus connections to these places and more can be found two blocks away.
The home was originally purchased as a primary residence and was decorated with that in mind. It doesn’t have the type of furniture normally found in a vacation home, rather really nice pieces. The wooden furniture looks stunning and well cared for. The colors and decoration throughout the house were carefully chosen to create a cheerful, homelike feeling. It has excellent natural light, that brings the outside in.
The first room of the house is a living and dining room followed by a half bath then an eat in, fully equipped kitchen with all of the appliances, utensils, plates and pots needed to make fine meals. It also has a coffeemaker, toaster and even a dishwasher. From the kitchen, you can enter the private backyard where you will find a washer and dryer, a table with chairs and a swing with a canopy. The home has a master bedroom with a queen bed and large closets and a second bedroom with room for three (a double/single bunk bed). These rooms are connected by a bathroom complete with a large soaker tub and hot water. Then upstairs is an extra den and office space with cable TV and internet. It also has a futon. The panoramic view of the mountains from the large windows behind the desk are fabulous.
The home is nice to use as a quiet getaway, a home base while you travel around Costa Rica, or a location for a special event for up to six guests. Kids are welcome. Smoking is allowed outside. The first floor is wheelchair accessible. There’s safe parking. Housekeeping is available.
We enjoyed our stay there and wished we could have stayed longer. The home has a lot of space, extras like an ironing board with iron, a hair dryer, linens and towels included, and a lot of interesting books to enjoy. It’s an amazing deal for just $55-60 per night, with discounts available for week-long or monthly rentals.
